Playlist for February 26 – March 3, 2024

Quick playlist highlights:

– Knocked Loose is unreal. We haven’t seen a run like this in a long time. New album will be out on May 10. Nice to hear some gutturals from Bryan.

– Boundaries has a new single featuring Alpha Wolf’s vocalist. Their new album comes out March 29 and is all but guaranteed to be in my top 10 at the end of the year.

– Dealer is also releasing their new album on May 10. It’ll be tough to compete with Knocked Loose, but the singles are sounding really good so far.

– Mortal Reminder is a new band that has members from Degrader and Sirens & Sailors. This track is a quick little ripper. Their others have some fun grooves that kind of remind me of early Volumes.

– Slaughter To Prevail has a new single, but I don’t know, I’m having a hard time getting into it. Might need to listen to it more, but it doesn’t seem like a cohesive song.

– MDG…does anybody know anything about this band/project? Spotify recommended it to me, and I absolutely love it, but I can’t find any information about the artist. It’s like a mix of That’s Outrageous, The Last Of Our Kind, and all my favorite sounds from 2010. Is it just a cover of another song and I can’t put my finger on it?

– Attila is struggling to reinvent themselves. They’ve been searching for a new sound for so long that I’m starting to worry that a few more misses might push them into irrelevance. They still have so many monthly listeners, but I don’t think many of them care about the new music – they’re just spinning ‘About That Life’ on repeat. There’s a massive opportunity for a comeback, but they just aren’t pulling it off.
